About Us.
How do you find a quiet place to go when you're constantly looking over your shoulder? How do you connect with people when you're worried to show your face? How do you even make an "about us" page for your website when as a Law Enforcement family, you're concerned about the world knowing who you are?
These are questions we asked ourselves, and Lion & Lamb is what we did about it.

We understand the challenges of navigating life as First Responders. For that matter, life in general is often far more difficult and even traumatic than most of us like to admit. But we also realize that there's nothing wrong with admitting when we're struggling, and it is vital to have people to reach out to and places to go where we can unburden, and recalibrate our bodies and minds.
So we created Lion & Lamb. Originally, this place was just for us. Amidst processing through on-duty trauma, severe injury, and mental illness, we moved out of the middle of Chesterfield to Amelia with the hopes of simply providing ourselves an escape from the chaos, to grow our own food, breathe, and get back to the roots of what really mattered: family, and dirt.
Here, we believe that mental health is no different than physical health, and our goal is to provide just a few resources for maintaining and refreshing both.
God has been gracious to bring us a long way on our journey, and we've never felt better than when we do a good day's work in the garden, spend time working with our animals, or feel the dirt beneath our fingernails, and we want to be able to share that experience with others, especially with First Responders who may not have access to the calm of country life.
We hope that people will be able to come or bring their families to Lion & Lamb, knowing that they are truly in a secure, safe place, where they can unburden and heal.
